Here are some of the practical ways we might help:

  • developing a management plan for a national park or community conservation area
  • preparing a business plan for a community wildlife management organisation or ecotourism enterprise
  • increasing the financial viability of an environmental NGO by setting up transparent financial and project management systems
  • developing a realistic project monitoring plan to measure conservation and development impacts
  • designing a project with stakeholders that aims at preserving a critical ecosystem while safeguarding the needs of local communities
  • developing a new trust fund for a unique protected area
  • carrying out research to assist communities and governments to cope with diminishing natural resources and climate change
  • testing the effectiveness of a conservation approach drawing on lessons learnt around the world

How can we help you?

The Conservation Development Centre is a small employee-owned company working at the interface between natural resource conservation and human development. Established in 1997, we have a strong track record of supporting a diverse customer base including non-governmental organisations, government departments, donor agencies, community groups and private businesses.

We focus on a small number of specialities that we work hard to excel at, so that we add real value to our customer’s conservation efforts. We have a pragmatic, hands-on approach which is underpinned by a simple philosophy that all CDC’s staff subscribe to: that with commitment, knowledge, common sense and teamwork, we can make a tangible and practical contribution towards conserving the world’s wildlife and wild places, for the wellbeing of people.
